National Reconciliation Week 2022

This week is National Reconciliation Week.

Medilaw Group acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of the land upon which we live and work, and pays respects to Elders past, present and emerging.

Reconciliation Australiaโ€™s theme for 2022, โ€œ๐—•๐—ฒ ๐—•๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒ. ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐—ฒ ๐—–๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ฒ.โ€ is a challenge to all Australians โ€“ to โ€œ๐—•๐—ฒ ๐—•๐—ฟ๐—ฎ๐˜ƒ๐—ฒโ€ and tackle the unfinished business of reconciliation so that we can โ€œ๐— ๐—ฎ๐—ธ๐—ฒ ๐—–๐—ต๐—ฎ๐—ป๐—ด๐—ฒโ€ and strengthen relationships between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and non-Indigenous peoples, for the benefit of all Australians.

This week,ย MedHealthย also launches itโ€™s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) as part of its National Reconciliation Week 2022 celebrations.ย Medilaw Groupย (Next Health,ย Medilawย andย MindSense Centre of Psychiatry) is proud to support this great initiative which exists to:

  • Recognise the value of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoplesโ€™ histories, knowledge and contributions within MedHealthโ€™s business and the wider community
  • Make a meaningful contribution to reconciliation, building respect, relationships and opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, both within MedHealth and through delivering culturally appropriate services
  • Foster a corporate culture that values the health, wellbeing and knowledge of all peoples
